Level One and Two Parent-Child Mother Goose training

Parent-Child Mother Goose Australia participants
Full Parent-Child Mother Goose Program Certification involves:
  • Attending a two-day Level One Facilitator Training Workshop, and
  • Co-facilitating 30 program sessions while satisfactorily completing a formal process of self-evaluation.

Following initial Level One training, facilitators may be employed to co-facilitate a P-CMG program.

Even if an organisation is not in a position to offer a Parent-Child Mother Goose program, our two day Level One training workshop offers transferable skills staff can apply to many areas of community service.

Level One Parent-Child Mother Goose training

This training is useful and appropriate for:
  • Educators working in Early Childhood, Primary and Special Education
  • Speech pathologists
  • Occupational therapists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Early childhood intervention professionals
  • Maternal child health nurses
  • Psychologists
  • Library practitioners
  • Playgroup leaders
The two day Facilitator Training Workshop covers:
  • The background and philosophy of the program
  • How a session is organised (Infant and Two-to-Four)
  • How to reach a target audience of participants
  • How to use and teach rhymes and songs
  • How to observe interactions and respond based on your observations
  • The basics of storytelling.
At the conclusion of the training, participants will receive all the materials needed to start their own Parent-Child Mother Goose program.

You can find a listing of upcoming Level One training workshops in our Training Calendar. Alternatively, sign up to join our mailing list, and you will be notified whenever new training courses are on offer.

No training workshop scheduled near you?

If there is no Parent-Child Mother Goose training scheduled near you right now, but your organisation has the facilities to host a two-day training workshop for 20-25 people, perhaps you would like to host a training workshop yourself?

Interested? If so, please contact us.

Level Two Parent-Child Mother Goose training

To become a fully certified Parent-Child Mother Goose Program facilitator, you must:
  • Complete the two-day Level One training
  • Facilitate at least 30 program sessions alongside either a certified facilitator or one who has taken Level One training and is also pursuing certification
  • Submit the Teacher Self-Evaluation Form (see Forms) at the end of every 10 weeks for 30 weeks and receive the approval of the P-CMG Australia Assessment secretary.
