Over time, we've been building up a collection of songs here suitable for use in Parent-Child Mother Goose programs.
We've chosen to categorise these songs below in ways that are often rather arbitrary. In practice, these songs can be used across all categories. Most songs, when slowed down, can be used as lullabies, for example. Any "sitting down" song can be sung standing up when holding a young child. And it is appropriate to sing many songs on the move when toddlers or young children are walking. Songs can be sung in any location and at any time: in the car, in the supermarket, or while waiting for a doctor's appointment.
If you're not too bashful, and you've got an unaccompanied recording of yourself singing a song that should be in this collection, do please send it to us. The easiest way to do that is to upload it using the form on our Contact page.

Notice how the mother singing "May there always be sunshine" has adapted the lyrics to include her own family members.
This version of "Sleep my baby" is another lovely example of a mother personalising a song's lyrics to refer to members of her own family.
